Yogesh Shah, MD

Dr. Shah attended NHL Medical College in India from 1971 to 1976 and earned the distinction of being a national scholar during his college years. After coming to the United States in 1977, he completed two years of Pediatric Residency and then entered the Diagnostic Radiology Residency program at Mt. Sinai Medical Center where he served as a chief resident during his final year. Dr. Shah joined Baylor College of Medicine as a fellow in the Ultrasound/Body CT program in 1983-1984. After completing his Imaging Fellowship, he joined Baylor as an Assistant Professor of Radiology. Being an active member of the medical staff at Woman's Hospital of Texas since 1985, he has been Chairman of the Department of Radiology since 2003.

Winner of numerous awards, Dr. Shah has been a Board-certified radiologist since 1984. He has continued to publish throughout his career and has co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as authored book chapters. He has also presented several scientific exhibits at national meetings. He serves as a guest reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Ultrasound. Dr. Shah remains active currently as a clinical faculty member of Baylor College of Medicine and is involved in teaching Radiology residents.

Dr. Shah is a member of the Harris County Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He also belongs to several Radiological and Ultrasound Societies. In the past, he has served as president of the Indian Doctors Association and organized many community health fairs. Currently he serves as President of the Houston Radiological Society
